Crochet Inspiration from An Area Rug

I saw an ad in the September issue of House Beautiful magazine for this rug:

I liked the use of brown and turquoise and used this inspiration for two new crochet designs. I used simple stripes this time and also created a bowl with a lid. A lid comes in handy for keeping items cleverly hidden. :-)

The button on the lid.

My big news is that I plan to open my etsy shop to sell my bowls in the next couple of weeks. I will post an announcement here on my blog.

Let's get some conversation going. Any questions, comments or suggestions? I'd love to read them. Have a wonderful day!

I love that color combo and what a neat bowl. I didn't know you could could do that with crochet. Good Luck on your etsy shop opening.

Brown and turquoise are one of my most favourite colour combinations!! So, not surprisingly, I simply loooooove this new lidded-basked.

I'm SO excited that you are going to be opening your very own Etsy shop soon. Woo hoo!! Go fly!!!

Hi, Melissa!

Congratulations! I'm excited about your etsy shop. Your work is lovely.

Don't get overwhelmed when setting up your shop. (I was a bit overwhelmed at first). Other than that, since I'm so new at it, I have no advice! Best of luck to you!
