Focus

That's the word!

I made this illustration last night to remind myself. I seem to have my attention all over the place, and I have been like this for as long as I can remember. I can't even tell you how many books I'm in the middle of right now. So I am going to focus my energy on my creativity. I really want to explore my art. I have neglected it for far too long and I am feeling the effects. Not good! One of the books I'm reading now (and I plan to put all others aside) is Visioning: Ten Steps to Designing the Life of Your Dreams by Lucia Capacchione. She suggests doing collage work to determine exactly what the life of your dreams means to you. So that is my starting point.

Love this illustration! I like how it's so playful but the message is serious :) I came over to your blog from the comments on Kelly Rae's e-course. Look forward to seeing more from you!

Girl...this post could have been written by me! WOW to how familiar it sounds. Thanks for sharing. I am also all over the place and have about a million things going at once. My word of the year is stability...goes right with focus, eh? I am in Kelly's class with you and to answer your question...I am at least one person who would be interested in what you create. Especially crocheting. Wow. It really is such a dying art these days. It amazes me the patience it takes. Your stuff is absolutely beautiful! Hey...an you are a very good illustrator too! XO

like you and Shanie I have so many creative ideas, so many mundane things to do, so many... I swear I have Adult A.D.D.
Also in class with both of you but a few days behind
